My name is Zeb, and actually becoming a local took more time but many years later, I can now proudly say that I speak Tiếng Việt, understand and participate in local culture as much, or more, than even my Vietnamese wife and still enjoy it every day! These days I mostly go by my Vietnamese name Duy :) Ever since my graduation I have worked as a teacher which means explaining in a story form is something I enjoy and never get tired of. My constant learning and discovery of local Vietnamese life combined with my teaching background naturally led me to become a tour guide. Now I get to be outside in my community, sharing the what, why and how! Back in November 2017 I started my Vietnamese journey in Hanoi. Its the place that showed me Vietnamese life; culture, scooters, Vietnamese cuisine.. and eventually, love. Fast forward and I have been happily married since 2022. My journey has now brought me, since that same year, to Hội An as a my new home base. Both Hue and Da Nang to my North and Tam Ky to the south and everything in between are places I know as well as my own backyard. Each place with their own history, culture and local food. One of the great things about Vietnam, is that no matter how small the area is, if you know the locals, you will find something unique! What makes my tours special is my ability to connect Vietnamese ancient customs and unseen nuances to your daily experience while being in Vietnam. Making more sense of this country, while having fun along the way in relatable language.

As someone who came to Vietnam in 2017 and lost its heart to it, quite literally, as a happy married man now, I can remember how overwhelming the chaos of Vietnam was when I just arrived. It is truly like stepping into a completely different world. Over the years I have come to understand and embraced Vietnam and its uniqueness. And through my tours I strive to give you context, nuance, funny stories and simply answers to all the questions. So that after this excursion, you understand and have connected with the why. Your Da Nang tour itinerary
Pick up at the port. Then private car to the first location. - Start at NAM house Cafe for a 30 min coffee chat in order for our day to be as best fitting to your interests as can be! - Walk around the Fresco Village alleys and see local life with an artistic background. - Have a authentic food break with different savory snacks in banana leaves. - Drive on to Chợ Cồn and explore all the typical Vietnamese market wares, giving you the option to ask all the questions you normally wouldn't dare/be able to ask. - Cross the Han River at the Cau Thuan Phuoc, which shows stunning views of Da Nang and the immense bay. - Visit Dong Dinh Museum, a cute museum with a traditional Vietnamese jungle house. - Drive up to the Linh Ứng Pagoda, a temple of monkeys and Buddhism. - End with the most local and cultural way of having dinner, eating at a Quán Nhậu among the people we have been learning about all day! Transportation back to the port is included.
