I'm a University Gruaduate Tour Guide as well as National & Regional Tourism Technician fully Pfizer vaccinated against Covid-19. Ever since I was a child I always found myself continuously captivated by foreigners, be it by their languages or their cultures. Being part of a family of European immigrants and periodically exposed to different languages my entire life, this always proved to be second nature to me. In addition, I studied English for over a decade in one of the top schools in the country and to this day continue to use it on a daily basis. Thanks to this, I was able to obtain The University of Michigan's Certificate of Proficiency in English. As part of my Tourism education, I attended the United Nation's World Tourism Organization's First Seminar on the International Code for the Protection of Tourists and hold a Touristic Management certificate emitted by the Ministry of Commerce of China. I am proud to say I now have a decade of experience working in Tourism, during which I've had the privilege to provide services for worldwide organizations such as UNESCO, the UN Environment Programme, the Organization of American States & the Inter-Parliamentary Union. I've also provided tours to politicians such as South Carolina's Senate Minority Lead Brad Hutto and the Minister of Natural Resources of Guyana Vickram Bharrat. On a more personal note, being born and raised in Uruguay (the only place I ever lived in) I am wholeheartedly acquainted with its ins & outs, and feel genuine enthusiasm every time I get the opportunity to share these gems hiding in plain sight with others. I fully believe every person is unique and experiences this country in a different way, but my job is to guarantee this experience is remarkable for everyone. Even though there is a certain structure in the private tours I offer, these are always flexible to a degree, and able to be customized as to fulfill your unique expectations. I sincerely hope we can get to know each other and go around my beautiful country together!

Punta del Este is mostly known for its beaches and modern urban landscape, but its history dates back to the early 16th century, and has since witnessed incredibly significant global events such as Charles Darwin's Voyage of the Beagle and WWII's Battle of the River Plate. Not only will you enjoy this region's singular surroundings but also its main historical landmarks, visiting 2 different cities that are deeply intertwined. We'll even get to see friendly sea lions at the port! Not to mention, a panoramic view of the sea, with its hills and islands, from an overlook point where 16 whales were once seen simultaneously. This point is next to the incomparably beautiful Casapueblo, home & art workshop of the father of one of the Andes flight disaster survivors. From a dictatorship-era prison that became a music and dance lessons center, to the house of an international plants collector that is now a museum and one of the world's biggest eucalyptus reserves, this tour has no shortage of unique experiences.
·The tour would start with a pickup from a pre-arranged location (hotel, port, etc). ·We'd then cover the highlights of Punta del Este (& why not some traditional pastries!) -The Port with friendly Sealions! -Great Britain Square (where the anchors of 2 WWII's ships are enthroned) -The 4 Seas Corner -where you'll see water from every cardinal point -The Italian Volcanic Ash Beacon & Municipal Meteorology Station -Our Lady of the Candlelight Church -Our Lady of the Candlelight Open Air Coastal Shrine -"Los Dedos" Monument (the famous Hand in the Sand) -The Colonial Triple Cannon Battery ·Then it will be time for a panoramic stop at a mesmerizing viewpoint to take in the landscape from our hills & the shore. ·Once we've covered Punta del Este, we'll head towards the Colonial city of Maldonado to see: -The Waterway Woodland Walkabout -The Barracks of the Dragons -Ancient Watchtower -St. Ferdinant Cathedral & Main Square -St. Ferdinant Former Guardhouse - Current Municipal Art Center ·At last, we'll return.
