Welcome! My name is Greg and I've been a resident of Anchorage since 1981. I came here by motor home on vacation and I feel like I'm still on vacation. I worked in the fishing industry during the 80's and that sealed my love for Alaska. I next sold real estate through the 90's until 2004 and made many local friends. I have been leading tours between Seward and Fairbanks Alaska since 2008 and have driven that highway 100's of times. The thing so great about it is that it looks different every tour I drive. I love talking about Alaska and spreading the news about it. I would love to tell you and show you what I know about this beautiful state. I am very open to all destinations and tour ideas you may have. Class B Commercial Drivers Liscense. None

Overview of your Whittier tour

Having lived here for over 40 years and doing tours since 2008, I am very much aware of all the history between Whittier and Anchorage and I love telling people about it. If time permits, we will make a short loop around Whittier, the "strangest city in Alaska", and then exit Whittier through the 2. 5-mile Anton Anderson Tunnel and head on to Anchorage through some of the most beautiful parts of Alaska. The sixty miles of this private tour is filled with many things to do and see like wildlife, glaciers, and if we are lucky, we may catch the surfers riding the tidal bore along the Turnagain Arm, quite a phenomenon. It's my goal and desire to make this day the most memorable day of your vacation. Most all of my tours usually end up going over the scheduled time period so I'm not worried about spending more time with you.

We HIGHLY recommend Greg, for his knowledge, kindness and deep love of Alaska. We had a wonderful experience. Greg was early and ready to take us when we got off the ship. We boarded his van which was very comfortable for 7 adults and all our luggage. He took us on a tour around Whittier, AK and pointed out the highlights in this very small town. We went through the 2.5 mile tunnel that Greg told us all about and how it was built and the safety shelters inside in case of emergency -- very interesting. Greg guided us through the wild life conservation center - which was a great stop to see Alaska's animals up close. Greg pointed out many very interesting things along the way that we surely would have missed if we were not driving with him. We had lunch up the top of Mount Alyeska and rode the tram. Greg did not rush us, and we had plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful scenery, take pictures and have lunch. We toured around Anchorage and were amazed at all the seaplanes there. Greg answered all our questions easily and thoroughly. We asked for a stop for ice cream and Greg took us to the most wonderful ice cream and chocolate stop. Greg made a day tour seem to fly by with his knowledge and information about the area. This was a great day in transit to the airport. Upon arrival at the airport, we were dropped off and bid farewell to Greg --- and an outstanding day tour.

Greg was excellent. He was there to pick us up at the perfect time, and actually continued longer than booked as we had extra time before needing to be at the airport. He was very knowledgeable and took us everywhere we wanted to go, and also to some places that only local people would know about. We really enjoyed our day with him.
