Overview of your Sarasota tour
The Ringling estate is an urban forest with different varieties of palm trees, oaks and flowering exotic trees. The famous Banyan trees are highlighted on the tour as well as the courtyard of the Ringling Museum of Art. The tour will be focusing on the vast grounds and gardens of the Ringling Museum while you learn details of the lives of John and Mable Ringling and their use of the 70 acre estate.
Your Sarasota tour itinerary
From the Visitors Center at the Ringling, I will lead the walking tour which begins and will encompass the entire 70 acre estate; details will be shared regarding the gardens and the indigenous and imported flora encountered on the tour. Additionally, I will weave in very detailed information concerning John and Mable Ringling, their lives and use of the estate. The tour lasts about 90 minutes at a leisurely pace. Lunch, at your expense, will be at the onsite Muse Italian restaurant after the tour.
