A Day in the Dakota Badlands

This tour is easily customized to accommodate your wishes. 1)Short visit to the Museum of Geology at the SD School of Mines & Technology. This is the research institution that gives us much of our understanding of the geology and paleontology of the Badlands; 2) Drive to the southern side of Badlands National Park and visit Sheep Mountain Table. Here you will experience a remote and unspoiled side of the badlands on gravel roads and very little traffic or human company; 3) Drive to the east gate of Badlands National Park to begin the tour of the Badlands Scenic Byway with your choice of hiking, Visitor Center, wildlife, and photography experiences; 4) Additional stops may be made at Wall Drug, Minuteman Missile Historic Site and the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands Visitor Center on the way home.
