Welcome to the Bluegrass, home to amazing and vital American history, the epicenter of the world's thoroughbred horse industry and the provider of 98% of the worlds bourbon whisky supply, among many, MANY other wonderful things! We cannot wait to welcome you and maybe convince you to consider the Bluegrass as one of the many places you can call home. Your time and your interest are very important to me. I believe a private tour must be fun, enlightening, organized, comfortable and, above all, FUN. That's right, I said it twice because that's the way it has to be! Matter of fact, if fun is the common denominator, everything else seems to fall into place. My role in our adventure is to make sure you are placed directly in the center of activity so you can sense the experience in every way. I take much pride in doing so. I am a ten-year veteran of the airline industry, all of which was spent in customer service. My motto is "anticipate and accommodate. " I also believe in flexibility so if you see something along the way that absolutely has to get a closer look, let's do it! I've been a resident of the Bluegrass for twenty-five years. I can't imagine living anywhere else. My experiences can offer a clear foundation for our adventure. I look forward to providing peripheral specific details and narration to our main events. Of course, it will be my pleasure to provide all of that annoying logistical stuff which can be of such concern when you travel. Leave the driving to me! It would be an absolute honor to serve you on this excursion into the Central Bluegrass Region. We will see thoroughbred farms which are revered around the globe. Their natural beauty is highlighted by the serenity of seemingly endless green pastures. These pastures are graced with the presence of the most beautiful and formidable creatures on earth, the thoroughbred horse. We will get up-close and personal with them and have real hands on experiences. There is nothing quite like stroking the soft tissue on the end of a thoroughbred's nose and gazing into their mysterious eyes. You can feel the imposing power and sense the majesty which is inherent in their breed…. . There is nothing like tasting fine Kentucky Bourbon which has been aged to perfection by the worlds foremost experts on distilling the spirits of the Bluegrass…. or hearing the engaging and highly entertaining histories of these ancient facilities which continue to flourish in the modern day. Or how about the vital role the Central Kentucky territory played in the beginnings of the United States? Our area was known as "The Athens of the West" for a myriad of excellent and interesting reasons. You will hear them all. I want you to have these same experiences and sense the same exhilaration which can only be found in Central Kentucky. I am very anxious for your arrival and heading out into our adventure together. I can assure you it will be pleasantly memorable and very much worth your valuable time…could be a life changer! Y'all Come! Most Sincerely, Mike

Step back in time and relive the birth of the Bluegrass. We will visit historic sites which mark the beginning of this enchanted land. You will learn about our impressive history regarding education and politics, both of which were pivotal in shaping the USA. We will tie these historical markers together with the origination of our world-renown thoroughbred horse industry and the remarkable genesis of Bourbon Whiskey. Lexington Kentucky is nicknamed the Athens of the West for good reason. You will hear about the cultural and educational diversity dating back to 1775. You will stand where Abraham Lincoln stood on the courthouse steps. You'll touch amazing thoroughbred horses, hear about their journey and see where they apply their talents at the most beautiful race track in the world. You will see how real Kentucky Bourbon is made, inspect the mash and drink straight from the distiller's whiskey thief. There truly is no place like the Bluegrass. I anxiously await your arrival!
