Explore Lexington your way

At ToursByLocals, we believe that how you explore is just as important as where you go. That’s why every Lexington tour is private, flexible, and built around you: Move at your own pace, skip the crowds, make connections and follow your curiosity. Find local guides offering private tours in Lexington for every interest, including:

Layover tours: On a short connection at Blue Grass Airport, your guide can whisk you to Keeneland Race Course for a quick grounds visit and a drive along Old Frankfort Pike past storied horse farms. With more time, add a Town Branch Distillery tasting or a stroll through the murals in the Distillery District.

Nature and Wildlife tours: Walk the river bluffs at Raven Run Nature Sanctuary to spot deer and songbirds, or bird around the lake at Jacobson Park. For an easy outing, the Arboretum’s paved paths make gentle nature tours simple.

History tours: Step inside Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate, and the Mary Todd Lincoln House, then explore historic homes around Gratz Park. Your guide can also include the Hunt-Morgan House to round out Lexington’s 19th-century stories.

Downtown is somewhat walkable, but sights are spread out and public transit is limited. It is easy to arrange chauffeured tours or tours with private transportation so you can cover more ground between the airport and horse country.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Lexington inside and out.
