Greetings, I've been a Florida Keys local since 2017. I began as a lowly SCUBA intern at possibly the busiest dive shop in the Americas. I worked my way up to PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer and certified a few hundred students over the years. (Humorously, every time I go diving in other countries, I always encounter at least one past student of mine... they're everywhere!) Nowadays, I drive the boats for guests mostly. I've had the great fortune to Captain vessels as far North as Southeast Alaska and as far South as the Antarctic Peninsula. I've managed guests for big hospitality names like Disney Cruise Line and Seabourn Cruise Line. I've been a part of Expedition Teams in Alaska, Chile, South Georgia and the Falklands. More locally, I've been a part of Naturalist Interpretation Teams in Biscayne National Park and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. The Florida Keys are my home, and I'd welcome the opportunity to show you around personally.

Join me aboard my new and modern vessel as I take you to the ideal snorkeling locations. Explore the unique underwater ecosystem that makes the Florida Keys so special. Identify fish, sharks, rays, corals and other species with the guidance of your local guide. On the reefs, you typically find the mature phase of life species as well as hard corals, soft corals, fan corals, etc. You are also more subject to Mother Nature's effects when you travel this far from shore (i.e. rougher surface and ocean conditions at times). In contrast, the mangrove habitats are shallow and unique. They provide crucial nursery grounds for juvenile species. Approximately 75% of game fish and 90% of commercial species rely on mangroves during part of their life cycle. Please note that I have extensive experience as a local captain and dive instructor in the area, and sometimes the coral reefs are simply inaccessible due to high winds and elevated wave heights.
1. Meet me at a predetermined meeting point. 2. Board the vessel and begin traveling through the Keys waterways. 3. Arrive at the first snorkel location. 4. Listen to a site orientation and procedures briefing from Captain Adam. 5. Explore the snorkeling location (for up to one hour) 6. Reboard the vessel and identify various species sighted. 7. Travel to a second snorkeling location. 8. Repeat steps 4 - 6. 9. Return to a predetermined drop-off location.
