Hi I'm Paul . I live on the North Coast of Northern Ireland and that suits me fine. I am an outdoors person. I am part of a loving family. I enjoy walking, whatever the weather. I am a keen birder; certainly not an expert but a well-worn amateur. I also like to see what flowers I can identify in the countryside. I have an interest in local history, and reading tastes tend towards biography. I have been guiding for many years. I concentrate in the area where I live, I don't cover all of Ireland. I enjoy meeting new folk: I have seldom encountered unfriendly or hard-to-please guests. So it's great when folk share a bit about themselves and I can share a bit of me in return. Guiding gets me out in the areas I love. And if there's a walk in it, that's a bonus. When you tour with me, it will be in Counties Derry and Antrim, in Northern Ireland. There are sandy beaches, rugged coastlines, rolling green pastures and some hills. We don't go in for towering mountains much. Derry is the second city of Northern Ireland, a few miles from the border with the Republic. Our people are friendly and welcoming to tourists. We have a good reputation for our food and drink and there are lots of excellent accommodation options. I have just a few tours on offer, but please get in touch if you want something different. . . I've done others in the past and I am happy to make your vacation the best ever. Looking forward to hearing from you. -OCN Level 2 Tour Guiding. -BA Hons English and MA Modern Literature, both from Ulster University. -Full driving license . None

Take a walk along the North Antrim Coast in the company of a friendly and enthusiastic local guide. Starting at the ruins of Dunseverick Castle and finishing at the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Giant's Causeway. Thousands of folk visit the Causeway every year but very few do the walk approaching from the East. For 99% of visitors all they see are the Stones. . . spectacular, yes, but only one part of the experience. The clifftop walk is little-used. Guides doing this hike are few and far between, making it a unique experience.
Meet your guide at Dunseverick Castle to start the walk. We walk the 4 or so miles along the cliffs from Dunseverick to the Giant's Causeway. The views to Rathlin Island, Co Donegal and Scotland are unmissable. Keep am eye out for rare birds, maybe you'll see a Peregrine Falcon. Seals sometimes lounge at the base of the cliffs. Your local guide will tell the story of long forgotten trades. . . fishing, mining. Approach the Causeway from the cliffs passing Bengore Head before the Chimneys comes into view. We descend the Shepherd's Steps and wonder at the dramatic views below. Learn more about the untimely end of a ship from the Spanish Armada. Will you be able to identify the Giant's Boot or the Giant's Granny? Your guide will explain the geology of the Causeway and the famous legend of the Irish Giant Finn McCool. Return to Dunseverick Castle by public bus. Return to Derry by car.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
