This tour is designed to showcase the best of Anglesey's culture and heritage. With over 6, 000 years of human settlement there's a wealth to discover. We will explore ancient, neolithic burial sites, medieval castles, and Iron-age hut settlements. You will also experience Anglesey's stunning sandy beaches, and coastal cliffs and encounter its wonderful wildlife. We will explore the charismatic villages of Beaumaris and Menai Bridge and absorb their charm in the slow pace of Anglesey's island life. The treasures of Anglesey tour offers plenty of stops with time to shop and indulge in local crafts as requested. We have the option to taste locally produced food in quaint island cafes or to dine at a local inn (upon request). The itinerary can be tailored to suit your wishes and timings. With this well-balanced tour you'll leave feeling you've experienced something wonderful.
• Visit the town of Beaumaris and its castle overlooking Snowdonia and the Menai Strait. • Walk along the promenade at Menai Bridge by the Menai Strait and around Church Island. • Stop briefly at Llanfair PG (Llanfairpwll gwyngyllgogerychwyrn drobwllllantysiliogogogoch) - the town with the longest name in Britain! • Visit the ancient megalithic stone monument at Barclodiad y Gawres on the rugged west coast near Rhosneigr. • Take in the breathtaking sea views of Holy Island and Holyhead mountain along the soaring cliffs at South Stack and visit Elin's castle RSPB sea bird viewing area. There are the remains of Ty Mawr hut circles close by and the impressive megalithic standing stones of Penrhos feilw. The order of sightseeing can vary due to the weather. I offer a personal and bespoke itinerary which is well-received. I am happy to include any suggestions for inclusion. Additional options would include penmon point, Din Lligwy Celtic Iron Age & Roman hut settlement, Parys mountain & Newborough Warren.
