Hello everyone, l am Taha. I was born in the ancient city of Harran. It is located in Upper (northern) Mesopotamia and mentioned in the Old Testament (Torah). The region that lies between the Taurus Mountains and the Euphrates was called Commagene during the Greek and Roman periods. Commagene was established originally as an independent kingdom in 162 BC by Mithridates Kalinikos. I. Mithridates brought together Persians and Macedonians and other communities in the area to form this powerful state and named it Commagene, which means "community of genes" in Greek. The kingdom was at the height of its splendor during the period of King Antiochus I (69-36 B. C. ), who succeeded Mithridates. Most of the archeological remains which survive to our times, including the tumulus at the peak of Nemrut Dag, which still refuses to reveal all its secrets, are from the time of Antiochus I. At the cone shape summit of this 2, 200m elevated mountain one can find statues mythical figures of Apollon, Zeus, Hercules, and others. You will feel you are special between many Gods when we arrive to the summit of the mountain. . .

Mr. Taha Ozyavuz is an highly educated person, with a university degree on topics which are essential for the understanding of what you choose him to share with you. He is knowledgeable, cultivated and open-minded, which enables you to freely discuss with him even those topics which could be considered sensitive in a country where religion takes a significant presence. We had the privilege of spending a whole day with Taha on our visit to Nemrut Mount, and of learning from him. Anytime, again!
Nemrut is a magical place and with our tour guide Taha it was perfect! He picked us and drop off in the hotel, take us to a delicious restaurant and explain all the historic places that we visited. He helped us to take incredible photos. If you have a lot a time in Turkey give a chance to this tour or at least one day in your itinerary, its worthied! we had the oportunity to admired one of the most beatiful sunset! We were three women and we feel secure in every moment! Totally recommended!!
