Overview of your Kusadasi tour
Do you want to do your morning exercise in an open air museum :-) I invite you to do it together with me! We will walk through the colonnaded streets of Ephesus like the Romans did 2 millenniums ago. It is a lifetime experience! Each time I walk through the site I feel like an Ephesian living in this marvellous city. The site itself helps you to complete the picture in your mind about a city since it is the best preserved Roman city in the world. You will be amazed with the beauty of Temples, public buildings, agoras also see the great engineering skills of this advanced culture. We will also visit Mary's House, located in an isolated area among the forest. I like it as it is very peaceful. Also, we will have time to enjoy traditional local delicacies together at lunch.
Your Kusadasi tour itinerary
- Tour starts at the port of Kusadasi or your hotel. - Drive to the ancient city of Ephesus. Downhill walking tour (I suggest you put your comfortable shoes/clothes on. A hat for sure in hot summer days) - Quick stop to see the Upper/State Agora - Visit Odeon where the important issues related with the city discussed - Stop for the best photo opportunity in my favorite point overlooking the whole city. - Walk down to see Domitian Temple, Memius monument and intricate work on them - Pass through the Hercules Gate enjoy the Curetes street adorned with impressive monuments like The Fountain of Trajan, Temple of Hadrian. - See the Library of Celsus, the most iconic image of Ephesus. - Walk through the Marble Street to The Theatre, an impressive landmark in Ephesus. - Lunch break in a local restaurant nearby Ephesus and then visit the Mother Mary's House. - Drive back to the port/hotel. * Let me know about your interests and desires so that we can customize your private tour accordingly.
