Oasis of Cappadocia - Full Day Tour

This tour which combines natural beauty with historical & religious sites. My goal on this tour is to show you less known parts of Cappadocia, with less people around, which will allow you to walk across natural areas in peace and quiet. That is why I want to take you to the Red Valley for a stroll, which will make feel like walking on the moon surface due to its volcanic rock formations & colours. Located in the heart of Cappadocia but well away from mainstream tourists, it's one of the most mysterious and breathtakingly beautiful valleys in the region. Another one we'll visit is Soganli Valley, an open air museum showcasing different style rock-cut churches & frescoes in a wild natural setting near a typical Cappadocian village. In addition to this, I want to grant you the one of a kind opportunity to walk around an archaeological excavation site: the ancient city of Sobesos.

·After picking you up from your lodging, our first stop is the Soganli Valley, where we'll do a bit of hiking and visit some local churches if you'd like. ·After this, we'll drive to Mustafapasa through the unspoiled villages of Cappadocia, surrounded by the “table-top” mountains. ·On our way there, we'll visit the Keslik Monastery near Cemil village, which hides its frescoes behind a very thin smoke layer which can only be seen by torch light. ·Later, we will walk around the excavation site of the former Roman city of Sobesos, based in the south of Cappadocia and still under excavation. ·Next, we can make a break for lunch at a local restaurant. ·After we've reloaded our batteries, we'll go on a 5km hike along the Red Valley to see the little chapels of the hermits carved out of the valley walls. ·At last, I'll drop you off at your hotel.
