Worldwide! Come over and you will have a peaceful promenade through history, between sea and mountains. Here you can enjoy all kind of artistic styles from roman constructions built 2000 years ago: circus, amphitheater, aqueducts. Medieval churches, cathedrals and villages. And delightful constructions of Art Nouveau. I was born and I live in Reus, as my ancestors did for generations, some of them with outstanding roles in ruling the town from the city council and the chamber of commerce. As my grandfather used to say: "We live in the yolk of the egg", situation, communications, a temperate weather. Reus beside Tarragona is a very alive town, was the second city in Catalonia during the 1800s and early 1900s. Whimsical palaces, factories, hospitals, houses… a very renown commercial area. Known for the motto "Reus, Paris and London" as the price of schnapps was put in these three places. Since I graduated in Tourism studies I have been in the tourism world. Among all my job experiences, I am very proud of having been from the start in 3 outstanding projects that today are giving international credit to the Tarragona land: A Pedagogic Program in the Ebre River Natural Park, The Golf Club Bonmont, and The Thematic Park Port Aventura. Overview of your Tarragona tour
Doing a pleasant walk through the center of both cities we will allow us to discover the most interesting Art Nouveau facades of Reus, and discover the nice alleys, cozy squares and center of it, Heard of Catalonia last century when Gaudi was born. Afterward, we will do the same along the slope of a hill where 2000 years ago the roman soldiers decided to settle and built what would be the Imperial Tarraco, the capital of the most important province Tarraconensis. Your Tarragona tour itinerary
• Meet at place previously agreed (in case of ship transport is needed) • We need transport to go to Reus, where we will promenade along its streets • We will visit Casa Navas. The visit takes 1hour and is made by a specialist from the same house ( Tickets have to be previously bought) • We will stop to drink the typical vermouth and have lunch • After lunch, we will visit Tarragona to continue the tour there. • We go to the old town, the old walls. From the Gate "portal del Roser" we will start the tour throughout the Monumental Area. • First, we'll see the walls, then we will cross the old Forum, Medieval town, then we will arrive at what it was the Augustus temple and now is the Medieval Cathedral. • And we'll see the old circus and the Amphitheatre finishing in the Mediterranean Balcony.
