Spectacular Wakan Village & Bait Al Ghasham Museum

At the peak of the Al Hajar Mountains, there is a village that sits 2000 kilometers above sea level, known as Wakan Village. We drive in around 2 hours from Muscat to reach a 300 years old village. Experience the local agriculture during a hike to the top with around 720 steps. See the blossom or the fruit harvest between mid-February and mid-April Wakan is awash with flowering apricot & pomegranate trees. We continue to Bait al Ghasham Museum that hosted royalty in its 200-years history. Now the restored, mud-brick house has been converted into an interesting museum and hosts cultural events. Important Note: Wear fully covered comfortable clothes, hiking or running shoes, & suntan lotion. Bring along drinking water during hike. Important Note: Recommended from Jan to Dec.
