Alesund - Molde - Atlantic Road round trip

Enjoy the magnificent scenery of Norway as you travel through the countryside in a private vehicle, far from the crowds. The ferry takes us directly across Romsdalford where you can enjoy a long view of the pristine waterway before disembarking at Molde.

Molde is a great starting point as it offers panoramic views of dozens of snow-capped peaks and the surrounding fjord. We will follow the coastal route along the wide, calm waters of the Malmefjorden, through charming mountain farms and marble mines, before reaching the Atlantic Ocean Road. This five-mile stretch of highway passes over 8 bridges along the ocean connecting a series of small islands. The road was hailed as the country's engineering achievement of the century! It will show the majesty of the ocean in a way that other coastal highways simply cannot match. We will return to Molde by another route along the Atlantic Romantic Road, which will take us to the legendary fishing village of Bud. Before taking the ferry back to Ålesund, we will stop to admire the breathtaking panorama of Fort Ergan, built by the Germans as part of the defensive Atlantic Wall during World War II.
