Let's explore the Vikings heritage in Alesund district! We will visit 5 outer islands that were populated in Viking's Age and played a very important social and political role. Our route goes through subsea tunnels, by fascinating scenery. Passing charming Norwegian countryside, you will see the traditional Scandinavian houses with grass roofs, peacefully grazing domestic animals, authentic barns and cowsheds, that are still set on the stones. Fantastic fjord's views will be replaced by an open passion scenery of the Atlantic Ocean in the old fishing village Alnes. Radmyla was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the history and the islands around Alesund. The time went by quickly and she took us to all the scenic spots were in the area while sharing the history of the area. She also provided good tips on the rest of our itinerary. We highly recommend RadMyla if you’re considering a tour and Alesund or this surrounding areas.
We had a very nice tour with Linda. Due to unforeseen events, Radmyla was unable to lead our tour. However, she was extremely conscious and made arrangements for our substitute Linda. We enjoyed the tour with Linda and got a insite to Alesund and much information about the area.
From the moment Radmyla met us at the cruise dock, we knew we were in the hands of a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated professional. She is warm, fun, flexible, yet in just a few hours we saw multiple beautiful vistas, learned culture, experienced architecture, discovered history, and felt and tasted the Norwegian soul—-I recommend this tour guide and her tour highly. There was water, unique local foods to taste, the car was comfortable, the caring palpable —-the time flew by!! This is the one !!
Radmyla was great. She is very knowledgeable of the area and shared great information with us of the Alesund area. She worked with us as well to customize the timing of the tour as she was already booked in the morning - this was very much appreciated. Her english was excellent, car was lovely and the overall tour gave us a great overview of the area and beautiful landscapes in the area.
We greatly enjoyed our day with Radmyla, touring Alesund and the Viking Islands. She was very flexible and adapted her tour to the varying needs/interests of our family (ranging from our 19-year old daughter to my parents in their late 70's). We saw beautiful sights around the islands, learned about the region's fascinating history, and sampled Norwegian foods. Radmyla is an entertaining tour guide and storyteller, and we hope to tour with her again in the future!
