Full-Day Bago City Tour

Bago, formerly known as Hanthawaddy is a city and the capital of the Bago Region in Myanmar. It is located 91 kilometers north-east of Yangon and driving time from Yangon is 2 hours. If you have two days time to spend in Yangon, it is suggested to visit Bago for one full day sightseeing while the other day you can visit around Yangon. Bago Region is an economically strategic region with a network of motor roads and railways. Bago Shwethalyaung Pagoda is one of the most famous and more than one thousand years old reclining Buddha image in Myanmar. Kyaikpun Pagoda (Four Seated Buddha shrine) which was built by King Migadippa of Bago in the 7th Century AD (tradition) and renovated by King Dhammazedi in the 15th century AD The other things to see in Bago are: Kanbawzathadi King palace, living snake monastery, Hinthagone pagoda, Shwemawdaw Pagoda and on the way to Bago from Yangon, you can also visit second world war memorial cemetery.
