Myanmar also known as Burma was once one of the richest countries in Asia. And Myanmar has potential to economic development of the country again located in the crossroad of Asia with the right moment of social, economic and political reforms. Located between India and China, Burma was once a British colony with diversity of culture and traditions. Once upon a time, Yangon was regarded as the princess of Asia because of beautiful with many parks and lakes. Walking downtown area of Yangon is interesting seeing old colonial British architecture buildings with parks and lakes. Burmese are friendly people and they were well-known people in the British times. Besides Buddhism, some people believe in the spirit to give them good luck and prosperity. Htay was a very pleasent and good guide...he knows a lot of yangon history...
Had a great tour of Yangon with Htay yesterday. Having a separate driver adds to the experience and increases the amount of time available for sight-seeing. They picked us up and dropped us off from the Port which is a much appreciated convenience. Saw all of the usual attractions including the historic buildings, reclining Buddha, the lake etc. Enjoyed a lovely traditional Myanmar lunch as well as a great morning tea at the Strand Hotel. No hesitation in commending Htay and his services to you.
Htay was fabulous! We enjoyed every minute - he was thorogh and new his stuff. He was good about answering questions, his driver was great and the car was perfect. We couldn't have been more pleased. Thank you, Htay!!!
Very good and knowledgeable. At times English was hard to understand. Bit of over emphasis on Buddha and temples. Pleasant and amenable to changes in schedule. Put in a long, full day.
Htay Win was a good guide and knowledgeable about Yangon and Buddhism. He speaks good English and was very polite.
