Rural and Hiking Expedition

Whether you want to climb a mountain, spot a bird, dive into a lake or relax, you'll encounter what you're looking for in the wilds of the region's countryside. Guests are hosted by Pericue Family, who go out of their way to include visitors in the daily activities of life in rural Baja. Pick farm-fresh vegetables and enjoy them in a family-style dinner. The surrounding area boasts many hidden delights. Granted, a visit to the cave paintings of San Dionisio is not the easiest thing to accomplish, but the reward is certainly worth the effort. There are cave paintings and rock art in many locations in Baja. Some locations are relatively easy to get to and others are more difficult. Originally, the paintings were thought to be somewhere around 2, 000 years old. Recent carbon dating tests have suggested that some of the paintings may have been painted as many as 7, 500 years ago. For me the best part is enjoy the views of the canyon when you are on top.

- The day start at your hotel lobby or accommodation. - The drive to the mountains takes about 1:00 hour depending where are you staying. - Once we arrive to the mountain we need to visit the family who owns the entrance to the trails and also we can have a refreshment there. - After this we will hike for about 2 to 3 hours visiting some wall paints and then a pond where we can swim and relax. - Finally we head to the ranch of a local family where we can visit their organic farm. - After take a break we eat with the family and head back to cabo. * Do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour
