San Javier Mission Tour

Rodolfo was an excellent guide for this beautiful part of Baja California. His extensive knowledge of the geography, history, and botany of the Sierra Giganta area was shared in a manner that kept us engaged while offering us spectacular views. The San Javier Mission is beautiful, but the real highlight was tasting, smelling, and learning about the local plants and the ecosystem of Baja. We greatly enjoyed our time with Rodolfo and recommend him highly!

We had a most enjoyable day with Rudolpho. The pace was perfect, as was the weather and the company. We had a great ride/tour to San Javier mission. On the way,we stopped several times and learned from Rudolpho about all the flora indigenous to the area along with their well kept secrets of keeping hydrated. His knowledge of the mission and the entire area of Mexico was invaluable. My group and I would recommend him highly for any excursion when you are lucky enough to be in this beautiful area of the world.

We had a fantastic time on this tour. Rodolfo was very flexible on our pickup time. We were in town for a day from our Princess cruise. We didn’t know when we could be at the dock based on the ships tender process. The tour was exactly as described. I highly recommend using Rodolfo.

A super fun and informative adventure. We joined our tour at the lighthouse at the end of the pier where Rodoflo (Rudy)was waiting. It was a short walk to his van which was very comfortable and we were off! He is an excellent driver and shared the history of the area and about the plants and animals. At the mission he was truly an excellent guide and brought to life the area, details of the construction, what life was like … much different than just looking at an old building! Rudy was charming and very enjoyable to be around and it was interesting to learn about his life and family. Our time on the tour was great from start to finish. While at the Mission Rudy seemed to know everyone and is clearly respected. The lunch at the mission was yummy and a fun experience. I look forward to my next trip to Loreto and hopefully another fantastic day with Rodolfo!

Rodolfo did an amazing job on our tour. He was deeply knowledgeable about history, geology, culture, and plants. Our trip to the Mission was excellent. He is the organizer and President of the regional guides’ organization. He is working to encourage and train the next generation of guides on accuracy and excellence in craft. Highly recommend his guiding services.

Wonderful morning with Rudolpho! Very knowledgeable, well-read, passionate about Loreto, the Sonora Desert and the San Javier Mission. Easy meet-up off our cruise ship, nice van, water and Rudolpho as a personal guide, as opposed to the large group who got off the huge bus and were quickly hustled through the Mission before getting back on the bus heading for another quick photo-op. O the way back we got a marvelous tour of other parts of Loreto, and easy drop-off with a great Lunch recommendation and satisfaction that TBL had once again delivered as promised with a knowledgeable and personable guided tour.
