Kohunlich Mayan ruins from Bacalar

Awesome! Tania was very helpful and interesting. Really enjoyed our time checking out the ruins and had a lovely authentic Mayan meal.

Outstanding tour. Thanks to Tania's wisdom and experience, we got there before the crowds, so we had the entire ruins to ourselves. She also knew a fascinating amount about Maya history as well as the local flora and fauna.

I went to Kohunlich with Tania so I knew this tour would be great. I was not disappointed. Becan is very special as it's surrounded by a moat (now dry) . There is a long tunnel with a vaulted ceiling also. Tania explains Maya culture in a much more life affirming way rather than just in terms of battles and hierarchies. I have visited many ruins and honestly, Tania really woke me up with a different perspective and gave me much food for thought. She is fluent in English, attentive and just a lovely person

Wonderful ruins and wonderful guide. Tania was very helpful and attentive. Her extensive knowledge of the Mayan culture and her ability to compare and cross reference other religions and cultures made her one of the best guides I've ever had. The Temple of the Masks is stunning and Tania arranged for us to see it before the cruise ship groups arrived (nothing against them ; it's just nice to be alone with all this ). Great guide and her English is very good. She is also a lovely person.
