Hello from Tokyo! I am Yuichi, your Visual Storyteller & Local Expert. 【Experience & Philosophy】 With over 10 years of experience guiding more than 6,000 guests, I am proud to say I have friends all over the world. My philosophy is simple: I don't just act as a "Tokyo Expert"; I guide you as your "Best Friend in Tokyo." I want you to feel as relaxed and excited as if you were visiting an old friend. 【Who I Am】 Born and raised in Tokyo, I hold a National Government Licensed Guide certification (English/2016). My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Global Information and Telecommunication Studies (Multimedia) and a Bachelor's in Sociology from Waseda University. (Fun fact: Waseda is the alma mater of Haruki Murakami and has produced numerous Prime Ministers.) I also studied at NYU, which gave me a global perspective and fluent English. I "decode" Japanese culture through the lens of history, sociology, and cinematic storytelling. 【My Trademarks & Discipline】 You can't miss me in the crowd! Look for the guy with Blonde hair and a Headband. Despite the creative look, I am a disciplined professional. I hold a Black Belt in Karate (Okinawa Goju-ryu) and used to be a semi-professional skier. I bring that same discipline to my tour logistics. (If you love winter sports, ask me for recommendations on the best ski resorts in Japan!) 【A True Foodie】 With two uncles who are professional "Itamae" (Japanese Chefs), I grew up walking the alleys of Tsukiji Market since I was 5 years old. I have a strict tongue for quality, so I promise to take you to authentic local gems, avoiding tourist traps. 【Personal Side: Dog Lover】 I am a huge dog lover and actively support rescue dog activities. Currently, I am fostering a lovely Toy Poodle named "Emma" (est. 8 years old) as a volunteer. If you love dogs, we will have endless stories to share! 【My Style】 I am very active and still swim 1.5km to 2km every other day. Just like a Tuna, I can't stop moving! 🐟😂 However, rest assured—I always adjust the walking pace to suit you best. I look forward to making your Tokyo trip unforgettable!

Rather than a typical tourist route, we embark on a journey back in time. Starting from Yokohama Port, the place where the samurai era ended, this is a journey that travels backward to the heart of the capital—a journey that also visits "The First Samurai." This is an intellectual time travel, a journey that unravels the hidden context within Tokyo's history. Logistics & Punctuality: For shore excursions, returning to the ship on time is the #1 priority. I manage the schedule with military precision. Note: We will use Taxis or efficient Public Transport for this tour. Private luxury car arrangement is available upon request (Custom).
Start: Pick-up at Yokohama Port. Scene 1: The Opening (Yokohama): We explore the port area where the Samurai era came to an end. Scene 2: Move to the Capital: Travel to Tokyo (Train or Taxi). Scene 3: Ginza & Nihonbashi: High-end lunch in the historic commercial district. Scene 4: Imperial Palace (East Gardens): Enter via Ote-mon Gate. Explore the massive stone walls of the Edo Castle. Scene 5: Tokyo Station (The Finale): After a short walk through the Marunouchi district (with a stop at a hidden gem), we finish at the classic red-brick station building. End: Return to Yokohama Port from Tokyo Station. (We strictly adhere to your ship's "All Aboard" time).
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will efficiently combine Taxis and Trains to move between Yokohama and Tokyo. Note: If you prefer a Private Luxury Car (Alphard/Van) for door-to-door comfort, please message me before booking. I can arrange it as an optional upgrade (Paid separately).
