Discover and enjoy the authentic Puglia. Welcome in Puglia (or Apulia): the sunny and windy "heel of the Italian boot". We are Italy's easternmost region, right in the middle of the Mediterranean sea with culture and traditions that are the results of several different dominations, cultural and economic influences. First of all I'm a traveler (for leisure and work) and I like to discover foreign countries and their culture, traditions, food, people, etc. I have been working in tourism since 1998 as travel designer, event organizer, licensed tourist guide, nature (hike and bike) and interpretive guide, tour leader, food and wine lover (olive oil taster, wine sommelier). I'm passionate about my region and I like to share our amazing attractions and culture with other people. Puglia is an "easy region": the weather is quite warm all year long (the best time to come is from March to November but it's worth to come also in winter time), people is friendly (… but only a few people speaks English or another foreign language), there are always lots of events and things to do and our Mediterranean diet is healthy and tasty for everybody (amazing choice of tasty meat, fish, pasta, rice, legumes, vegetables and fruit recipes). Travelers who come for the first time in Puglia usually are fascinated by the Puglian daylight and the colours of the seaside and the countryside. I'll share with you the soul of Puglia, its culture, traditions, flavors, nature, scent, vibes . . . If you're looking for an hyper detailed and boring visit I'm not the tour guide for you but if you like a friendly and easy going person who will make his best, thanks to his experience and empathy, to understand and satisfy your needs, to suggest the right choices matching with your interests, to introduce in our culture and traditions, to help you in spending a very nice time … then contact me. We had a wonderful day with Alessandro. He organized a perfect itinerary for us based on our availability and interests (Polignano, Alberobello and Locarotondo). We learned about the history, the local flora, art, olive trees... He was very interesting and patient with us (we did take alot of pictures!) and brought us to some very fine local merchants. We highly recommand a tour with Alessandro. You won't be disapointed!
We had an incredible day exploring Puglia with Alessandro. We started along the coast, enjoying breathtaking views of the rugged cliffs and sea caves, stopped at a beautiful winery for lunch, visited the elegant and beautiful Martina Franca, and ended the day in Locorotondo after dark to experience the magical Christmas lights. Alessandro’s passion for the region, deep knowledge, and warm personality made it an exceptional experience. He even stopped to pick corbezzolo for us to taste and later feed to donkeys along the roadside—a unique highlight! The stunning scenery and authentic experiences made this a day we’ll never forget. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a true taste of Puglia!
