Hello everyone, my name is Valeria; I'm 100% Italian, but I feel I’m a citizen of the world: our planet is so interesting and various, that I think it is a shame to set boundaries. This is one of the reasons why I work as an official local guide: I love to help you discover fascinating corners of Italy, rich in history, art, nature and good food, making you feel like at home. I chose to work as a tour guide for my passion; I’m always glad to welcome new guests and share my time and knowledge with them. We can talk about history, art, nature, or food and wine. As a local guide I like telling stories, but also meeting people with their culture and personal history: that’s what make my work even more interesting and pleasant. I was born in Mantua and after several experiences in other European and Italian cities, I decided to return to live in my hometown; Mantua still has a human scale, thanks to its slower pace and its “human” size. It will be a pleasure to welcome you here! Don’t hesitate and come to visit Mantova and its province; you’ll be amazed by the lotus flowers, the Renaissance palaces and a delicious plate of pumpkin ravioli (filled homemade pasta) paired with a good glass of Lambrusco (a tipical red wine of the aerea).

A pleasant walk through the streets and squares of Mantua's historic center, allowing us to learn about the city's origins, its development and its life over the centuries, with a particular focus on the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. We'll see significant buildings from the outside, such as the Ducale Palace, and characteristic churches, such as the famous Basilica of Sant'Andrea. Not only architecture and art, but also nature: the tour also includes the shores of the lakes, which surround the historic center and define its boundaries. During our walk, we'll see Piazza Erbe and Piazza Sordello, the Rotonda di San Lorenzo and the cathedral of Mantova; the exterior of the Ducale Palace, the ancient butchers' shops, and the city's underground river; the Clock Tower and the Palazzo della Ragione; the nature around the lakes, with their characteristic lotus flowers.
