NEW FREE WIFI IN CAR !!! 31 years ago I said goodbye to sunny Australia and settled in Israel. After living on a kibbutz in the north for 3 years I joined the IDF medical corp. as a physiotherapist treating wounded soldiers. During this time I married and now have a wonderful family and we live in a quaint little town called Binyamina. As a family we loved to travel all over our beautiful country and over the years I have shared the country with many family and friends from abroad. I was often told that I was wasting my time as a physiotherapist and that my true calling is guiding. From Haifa we will head down the coast to Caesarea. The ancient port city was built by King Herod the great in 20 BC. We will see and tour the splendid Roman ruins, including the amphitheater, hippodrome and port. We will stop at the beach to view the amazing aqueduct that still stands after 2000 years. Then we will continue to Tel Aviv the modern city of Israel. We will see the highlights of the new city before exploring old Jaffa. The old town where Jonah sailed out and was swallowed by the whale.
Dave is such a fun guy to have take the 5 of us around for a day. He is knowledgeable about the sites - especially Caesarea and Old Jaffa. We enjoyed the tours in the small shops and museums in Old Jaffa. His sparkly new van is comfy and spacious. We had authentic shawarma for lunch which was a big hit. Highly recommend Dave!
Dave met us at the Haifa port on time and ready to go! He was energetic, friendly and willing to share his vast knowledge of Israel and it's marvelous history. Our tour took us from Caesaria to Tel Aviv. He was responsive to our questions and always made us feel welcome. As first timers to Israel, we were fortunate to have Dave leading the way.
