I live in the Galilee, on top of a high mountain overlooking the Sea of Galilee and the outskirts of Nazareth. Looking at this beautiful view I wonder how life used to be over here, 2, 000 years ago - when many Jewish people gathered in the Galilee mountains - Safely far away from the Roman headquarters in Jerusalem. Most of the time back then, people were probably busy plowing the fields, harvesting, or even fishing in the lake. But from time to time, they did take a break and listen to their spiritual leaders' sermons. And that where and when Christianity has started. Join me for this must-have tour for all people fascinated by the Roman era and the story of Jesus Christ. We will visit some beautiful churches, Taste some local food (such as fried St. Peter fish and fresh Hummus paste) and witness the beautiful vistas of the Galilee mountains, the Sea of Galilee, and the Jordan River. It's an easy, fun, and informative tour - combining nature and spiritual experience.
Your Haifa tour itinerary
Following the story of Jesus Christ, we will start the tour in Nazareth and the Church of Annunciation; the house of the Virgin Mary, and where the angel Gabriel appeared to her and announced that she would conceive and bear the Son of God. From there will continue to Mt. Precipice where According to the story, the people of Nazareth, not accepting Jesus as Messiah tried to push him from the mountain, but "he passed through the midst of them and went away. " We will continue with a beautiful drive through the Jezreel valley towards the Jordan Valley and the traditional baptismal site - where Jesus Christ met John Baptist. Driving around the Sea of Galilee will follow together with a lunch break on the way. Our final stop will be at Capernaum - The home town of Jesus Christ and a fascinating Archeological garden. The itinerary is flexible, for any changes please let me know.
