As a resident of the Galilee and Golan for over 40 years I can take my guests to out of the way places and introduce them to the locals who will tell their stories first hand. The fascination I have for the local history allows me to show the many facets of Israel, be it Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Druze or Bahai alongside ancient history and current issues. The Sea of Galilee is the center of Jesus' early life and through the Galilean geography it is possible to get a better understanding of his message and calling which is relevant to all Christians and to Catholics in particular. Years working in agriculture help me explain the issues of the conflict over land and water, today. . . . and in the past. B.A. Israel Studies (History) & Tourism (2003). M.A. Israel Studies (History & Religion) - Kinneret Academic College (2020). Official Tour Guide License. License & Insurance to carry passengers including Bethlehem & Jericho. Active volunteer "MADA" ambulance service. Popular Astronomy instructor. "Youth at-risk" counselor (2003-2013). ODT activity guide.

This tour will take you through time to very different places, all of which combine to the mosaic of sites and interests that make up modern Israel. We will visit the site of Armagedon, burial tombs of the Rabbi's, Bahai shrines and magical Acre. At Megiddo, we meet a Tel (archaeological hill) covering 25 different layers of civilization. . . . . the most recent from 2400 years ago. Bet Shearim houses the tombs of scholars and Rabbis from 1500 years ago in an underground "tomb city". The limestone caves preserved the tombs till discovery in the last century and much is still left to be uncovered. Acre is best known as the crusader port city which survived till the late 13th century. Recently discovered "knights Halls" and "Templar Tunnels" transport one straight back to Ivanhoe, the Black Knight and Hakim of Scott's stories of the crusades. The Bahá'i shrines of Acre and Haifa trace their beginnings to the 19th century. Their beauty and attention to detail have greatly enhanced these port cities.
