The guide we had booked, Natalia, was gone on travel so she had arranged a substitute, Angele. Although I was disappointed that Natalia had not informed us, Angele turned out to be an excellent guide. She had a great knowledge of history, nature, architecture and society. She even sang us some songs along the way and brought us some snacking bananas from her trees.. We had a very good morning with her as our guide.

We had a great tour with Natalia! We had a very short window during our quick stop over in Tahiti. Natalia was on time and organized and ready to go as soon as we landed. We had the pleasure of a half-day tour with Natalia, which she tuned perfectly to fit our itinerary. Natalia met us at the airport as we returned from Bora-Bora, helped us to secure our luggage in an airport locker (for our later International flight), then whisked us off on a tour around the larger (Nui) Island of Tahiti. Her knowledge of history, events, customs, government structure, botany, etc., was simply amazing. 5 hours flew by in a most interesting and enjoyable way. I highly recommend her!

• First Stop: Marae Arahurahu, a sacred Polynesian temple, where we’ll connect with the island’s "mana," its spiritual energy (25-min drive, 20-min visit). • Next, we’ll visit the Maraa Grottos, featuring cool waters inside deep caves surrounded by lush vegetation (20-min drive, 15-min visit). • At Taharaa Beach, admire the famous black sand surf beach formed by a gap in the coral reef. Enjoy stunning landscapes with mountain views and beautiful ocean vistas. • The Water Garden of Vaipahi offers a shady retreat under tropical trees. We’ll stroll through the lush vegetation while listening to the soothing gurgle of water (10-min drive, 35-min visit). • We’ll continue to the Isthmus of Taravao, where we’ll enjoy panoramic views of Phaeton Bay and Tahiti Iti. After the tour, I will drop you off at your hotel or another location in the Papeete area. This tour is fully customizable to suit your preferences.
