Hello! Please send me a message before booking, if possible, to make sure I'm available. I work with many partners, and it's possible my availability might not be up-to-date. I try to respond as soon as possible when the request is urgent, but if it's not, it may take more than 24 hours. Thank you for your understanding. Hi ! My name is Lucien and I have been a guide since 2018. I was a school teacher and now I am a "Guide conférencier" : I have a guiding licence. This allows me to guide you in the Louvre as in many other Parisian museums, such as the Musée d'Orsay, or my favorite, the Musée des Invalides. I love history, architecture and art history. I love Paris for its countless stories, impressive architecture and rich culture. I would certainly like to tell you everything I know about the history of Paris! In fact, it will be hard to stop me! I like to show you the most famous places in Paris but I will also try my best to show you Paris off the beaten track! My job is also to show you the real Paris and its real history: I will try to avoid the crowds as much as possible. My expertise in the history of Paris is mainly in the historic center: I can do circuits like the Île de la Cité; the Latin quarter ; halls ; Marsh ; Saint Germain des Prés, Montmartre; a bunch of other things. . . But I also like to go to the flea market in St Ouen (I live nearby). I specialize in the history of the city of paris and in its architectural and political evolution. And I love to dwell on the turbulent episodes of Paris, especially the many revolutions! I do NOT : guide in the Eiffel tower, the catacombs, the Champs Elysées, and I try to avoid Montmartre in the week end . To be honest, I will feel useless there because you can go there easily by yourself. I consider my job is to show you things you won't be able to discover alone! ( But that's just a personal preference! If you really want we can arrange if you have a specific request). If you request a personalized tour, I will be happy to prepare something for you! I work hard to give you quality information. Also, I try to ask for a correct price based on the Guides Syndicate grid. I can include museum tickets if you ask me. I do all my sightseeing on foot. I don't have a vtc license: please don't ask me to drive you! I think in Paris the best is always to walk during my tours. I also believe than using a car in Paris when you have a lot of other choices is a a waste of time and money and contribute to the pollution. Unless we do not have other immediate option, I will always recommend to thake the public transportation. I am happy to adapt my work to children but I am not a babysitter : I'm a professional guide and I spent a lot of time preparing my tours, so please don't leave me your children to go for a walk on your side, it's not my job (yes it is already arrived but we had fun). I'm not a personal shopper, but I'll be happy to recommend certain areas. I'm not really a foodie, but I know a lot of delicious restaurants! One last thing but quite important: I love Paris! For each local Paris is different. But above all, Paris may be different than the city you expect. For example, for some Paris is the city of luxury and fashion. Not that much for me to be honest! So I will be perfect if you want to discover the history of this city and what is behind the postcard. Master degree in Education Science "Guide Conférencier" diploma : I can guide you in all national museums. I usually don't drive in Paris and prefer to take the public transports. Please if you send me a request be kind enough to answer my messages it is very important to me, even you are not interested.

Very important : As the reservation of tickets for professional guides is a bit complicated, it will not always be possible to book at the exact requested time. Please send me a request as far in advance as possible: and book only once I answered. For agents and travel agencies. I will be happy if you can buy the tickets by yourself ( professional website only). Around 1661, the young King Louis XIV intends to reign by himself over a troubled country. He undertook a gigantic project to impose himself for eternity on France and the world, the construction of the Palace of Versailles. Follow me in this gigantic building which was for a century the residence of the kings of France until the Revolution of 1789. This royal residence is one of the largest in the world and houses magnificent rooms such as the very famous "Hall of Mirrors". I will tell you the story of the Palace and of those who lived there, the kings, the queens, their passions and their secrets.
-Castle closed on Mondays- Reservations are subject to availability and the number of visitors. We will meet in front of the castle, specifically in front of the large equestrian statue of King Louis XIV. We will then have to wait to enter, which will give us time to explore the exterior of the castle. We will begin with the rooms dedicated to the history of the palace before entering the highlight of the show, the sumptuous "Grand Apartments" of the King and Queen. I will show you magnificent salons, and of course the sumptuous Hall of Mirrors, as well as the Royal Chamber. The rest of the tour will then be devoted to discovering the remains of the Museum of French History, inaugurated in the 1830s within the palace grounds, dedicated to French military glory. This will be an opportunity to discover the "Coronation Room" and the very impressive Gallery of Battles.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
