Medieval villages and natural sites tour

We asked David to show us around the countryside outside of our cruise stop in Montpelier. The variety of locations was excellent. David is knowledgeable about history, architecture and nature. Our first stop was Villenuevette, a relatively well preserved linen factory town. After that we climbed around the Cirque de Morèze and visited the church with its bright stained glass windows. Picnic lunch on the quiet shore of Lac du Salagou was fresh, delicious local products and wine. Then the afternoon.....

If you want to get away from the "normal" city tours, David is your go-to person! He was extremely knowledgeable with the areas around Montpellier describing the history of this region. A beautiful picnic lunch by a lake was provided with wine too! What's not to love! At times, David's presentation was hard to understand due to his French accent but he used his cellphone to clear up any words we didn't understand...well done!

We were picked up from our cruise and took a road trip to discover the countryside beyond Montpellier to visit a small and interesting medieval village. The natural beauty of southern France was a treat. and our picnic at Salagou Lake was a special event. David was a great guide that offered us a special day.

This was a great tour. David is a very accommodating guide. Whatever we wanted to do he did and made suggestions when we were on the fence. He is sometimes difficult to understand because of the accent but his English is very good. I don't think anyone should hesitate to use him as a tour guide.
