My name is Sam, and I might be your future guide in Normandy (lucky you!). Albeit I was born and raised in Paris (where I know every nook and cranny), this region welcomed me a few years ago and has gradually become home (or a haven, literally). For all this time, I have had the pleasure of sharing its history, its landscapes, and its singular atmosphere. I've worked as a French and Music teacher, a journalist and a tour guide, including in Central-Vietnam and Southern Sweden. History and Architecture have always been of great interest, though my curiosity has never stopped at borders. I have always been fascinated by culture and heritage. Whether it is expressed through daily life movements or through the tales of vanished traditions. Viking raids, the Hundred Years' War, World War II, and the rugged, wild landscape of Normandy make it a rich and marked region. Hiring a guide is very helpful for navigating it all! Here, every cliff or harbour, city or village, rusty bullet or ruined bunker carries some of this international memory. My academic background and personal interest allow me to tell you about Norman history, culture, and nature, but you will also get a ton of facts that only a true Havrese would know! However, I’m fluent in English (C2), conversational in Spanish (A2), and still have some place for basic knowledge of Vietnamese and Italian (A1). I would be delighted to guide you through Normandy in general, and especially around : - Honfleur, the Pearl’s Port - Le Havre, the Reborn - Rouen, the Old-Fashioned - Étretat, Lupin’s Hideout - Fécamp, the Atlantikwall, and (the last but not least) - the D-Day Landing Sites. So if any of these places or stories speak to you, let’s schedule your tour!

The Albâtre Coast, with its titanic chalk cliffs of milky white, its flocks of seagulls just as pale, and its verdant tufts of grass crowning the giants. Beyond its wild and surreal landscape, the Coast has witnessed the flourishing of one of France's most beautiful ports : Fécamp. It has inspired artists and creators from all over the world. Here, we will also observe marks of France's dark times in the form of the remnants of the German Atlantikwall, the Nazi empire’s ultimate yet fallible line of defence against the Allies forces from the West. However, it is indeed in Étretat that one can see the “Dent Creuse” (the Hollow Teeth), the supposed hideout of the world-famous thief Lupin.
- Departure from Honfleur - Étretat Cliffs - « Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde » Capel - Fécamp Harbour - Palais Bénédictine (Gothic distillery) - Atlantic Wall Remains - Return to Honfleur or End-on-Site
