American D-Day, full day tour from Bayeux

This tour will show you the main sites where US soldiers landed on D-Day. We will get out on site and on the beaches (if the tide allows) and you will hear what happened there in the early hours of June 6th. I will show you the remaining bunkers and gun positions and point out specific actions that took place on those sites.

We will have as well the chance to pay our respects to some of the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom today in visiting the American cemetery. This is a very unique place, very peacefull, and overlooking Omaha, the beach where Americans had the highest casualties on D-Day.

I usually prefer showing the real battle sites and the cemetery and don't spend much time in musuems. However if you wish to see a museum, it'll shorten the time spent at the other sites.

On June 6, the Overlord Operation occured in the Normandy region, This historical event encompasses five different sectors.

These areas of interest extend from the department of Manche, to the department of Calvados, for a total of 50 miles/80 kilometers, bordered by the English channel.

You will have the opportunity to see, learn and understand the different areas where the American Allies landed on the first hours of D-Day during WW II.

Since my childhood, I have been able to learn about all the landing sectors as my close family and myself are natives to the area.

On D-Day Anniversary, I used to participate on the observed commemorations and, because our family home is located on Gold Beach, we always appreciated welcoming all WWII veterans.

Dieppe 1942: Canadian raid over nazi-occupied Europe (full day tour)

On August 19, 1942, the first important raid over Europe was launched over Dieppe. More than 3000 soldiers, mainly Canadians, were sent ashore and paid a heavy tribute. Two US rangers died as well. At the end of the day, the survivors, back to the UK, debriefed. 80 years after, the souvenir is still vivid and, every year, the locals are still commemorating the first attempt to liberate Europe from the Nazi barbarians.

Mont-Saint-Michel is the most visited site in Normandy and one of the most visited sites in France. The first construction on the rock was built in 708. Also branded as "the city of books", "the Bastille of the Seas", you will discover the fascinating Abbey, the villages and medieval walls surrounding it. Operation Overlord &amp; D-day Beaches Full Day Shore Excursion

It take 1. 20mn driving from Le Havre to Juno the Canadian sector. On D-day after the American sector of Omaha, the Canadian sector of Juno suffered the most casualties and the sacrifice of the Canadian forces is often underestimated, even though they would achieve the most on D-day by almost obtaining all their objectives. We'll visit the beaches where the Canadian 3rd Infantry Division landed under the command of General Keller. Mike Green (Canadian Scottish), we'll visit the Juno Beach Centre on Mike Red (Royal Winnipeg Rifles).
