What makes me stand out as a guide? After all we will all tell you that we are experienced, know our terrain, put safety first, have many years of experience in what we do. . . and all the other usual, expected qualifications. Sooo. . . Why do I do what I do? To start with, I am people orientated, I love to entertain, and I have a passion for the world and its people. I enjoy meeting these people, connecting with these people, and doing so by showing them my country in the same way I would if an old friend or a distant cousin came to Cyprus for the first time; with fun and laughs, and of course the unique places they wouldn't otherwise find with someone else. This is what makes every trip unique: with every trip I meet new friends. For me a trip is a tour into the mountains or an airport transfer. Either way, I am meeting new and unique people and I'm showing off my country to them. I live in Paphos (which was the 2017 culture capital of Europe). Why is it such an amazing town? Why do I love to live here? Well, firstly, I was born here, and I guess that is one good reason why I'm here. The other is the lifestyle; one of the things I love doing is walking my dog on the coastal path besides the waves. I love the sunsets, and it is said that you haven't seen a sunset until you've experienced a Paphos sunset. I love the nature and its surrounds, and truth be told, when I'm not taking people to these hidden nature spots or beaches, or an authentic quiet village, then I'm actually partaking; I spend my time with friends or loved ones at one of these spots. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and sometimes I understand how so many aspects of one's life are related to each other and how sometimes they mold together; My passion for variety in places, people & cultures; indeed I am blessed to meet so many new personalities every day, and might I add, new places. Yes, every tour requires a structured plan and with every tour the main stops are from point A to Point B and then Point C and so-on. On our trips "Anything goes between point A and B and C" … if you see something that interests you in the distance, then the attitude is "let's go check it out, let's discover it … " … and this is where, even after so many years, with every trip I still discover a new dirt track, a new goat-path, a new beach … in a nutshell, this is what I love, this is what I do, this is who I am. I have been a professional driver since 1995, and I have led hundreds of tours all over Cyprus, mostly on Land Rover Defenders. I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Conflict Resolution and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations. Please bear in mind that only tour guides approved by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation can guide you inside archaeological parks/museums, monasteries, thus, I will not be able to guide you inside these places.

Overview of your Paphos tour

On this tour we discover that there is far more to Paphos district than its popular seaside resort. Indeed, within minutes out of Paphos town we begin to understand that most of its people are still intrinsically bound to its original culture and tradition because of their roots in at least one of the plethora of villages in this district. Most families still maintain their crafts, plantations and spirituality despite their modern lives in town. For many this tradition and culture is a thriving full time job; and on this tour we trek to the hills to discover some of these villages, meet these people, learn about their lifestyles; and indulge in their produce; all the while enjoying the vistas and places of interest on the way.

Your Paphos tour itinerary

•Visit a halloumi cheese workshop •Visit a family-run winery for a short tour and wine tasting •The Byzantine monastery of Chrysorrogiatissa •The lace museum in Fyti village •The village of Steni for lunch •Coffee "the traditional way" in Kathikas Village And if you have any special interests or wishes, I will be happy to customise this tour for you!
