I am a co-author of the books "Culinary Cultures of Europe - Identity, Diversity and Dialogue" Council of Europe 2005, European Cookery- "Tradition and Innovation" (2004) and an author in many articles related to tourism. I worked as an international group leader for 27 years and I am a member of the organizing committee of ICOT (International Conference on Tourism) since 2008 around the world. A full day tour to the occupied part of Cyprus offering you perspectives of Cyprus intriguing spots the medieval town of Famagusta. Our tour begins by crossing the checkpoint to the North side of Cyprus. We firstly visit Salamis the Ancient City Kingdom and St. Barnabas Monastery-Icon and archaeological museum. We continue our tour to the walled city of Famagusta, Saint Nicolas Cathedral, The Venetian Palace and its surroundings we and pass by the tower of Othello. A panoramic view of the ghost city of Famagusta since 1974 and then a short walk to the golden sand beach. After crossing the plane of Mesaoria, we visit Kyrenia town and its castle, and the picturesque harbor. Our last visit will be at Bellapais historical village with its nice handicrafts, narrow streets and the Abbey of Bellapais with one of the nicest views in the northern part of the Island. Lunch at a local restaurant either in Famagusta or in Kyrenia. ** A passport is required for the North side of the island.
