Every question was answered, frequently with a personal anecdote. He's a good communicator, fun, & informative. We spoke & texted months before our tour. Our cruise arrived at Charlottetown when the winds were brutal. From shore, Cyril watched our ship and saw the difficulties we were experiencing. He was very patient and calming on the phone. After an hour of repeated attempts to dock and anchor/tender to shore, Cyril met us with an amazing beautiful immaculate Tahoe SUV. Cyril was born and raised on PEI, and gave as an insight that few could about the hard and dangerous life fishermen face. He has experienced decades on the seas fishing initially with his father and later on his own. Because he owns several businesses on PEI, he was able to describe behind the scenes working of provincial and federal governments, their influence on immigration, and the industries on the island including agriculture, fishing and tourism. We saw the typical sites like Anne of Green Gables but so much more. Our day was a life lesson with an amazing guide.

We have traveled extensively and used Tours by Locals when possible. Cyril gave us an outstanding and memorable day on Prince Edward Island. He truly is one of the best guides we have had. He picked us us in a large, comfortable Yukon SUV and we stopped at several picturesque sites, saw Mussel and Oyster farms on our way to the main Anne of Green Gables sites. We toured Historic Sites in Historic Charlottetown and he delivered us to a great little local restaurant where we had a lobster roll and some fresh haddock. Just a great day!
