Highlights tour of Ruse and Ivanovo Rock Monastery

Today Ruse is the biggest and most important Bulgarian city on the Danube River. Ivanovo rock monastery is just 25 km away from Ruse and is a monument under the special protection of UNESCO. It is a complex of rock-hewn churches, chapels, and cells. The place was founded by hermits in the Middle Ages and was a powerful spiritual center. It is situated in the beautiful valley of a Rusenski Lom Nature Reserve.
