Within just several hours one can visit mountains, sea coast, enjoy historical, cultural, archeological sites, visit churches and monasteries, wineries, rose fields, Thracian tombs. 9 UNESCO sites are situated within a territory equal to just one American state. So, there is great choice. Combined with my love for guiding, gusets and Bulgaria, one needs only desire to enjoy wonderful time in somewhat not much known place! I have educational background, too - English language school, bachelor's degree in Economics and master in Cultural Historical Heritage and Guiding. But what shaped me as professional is my experience with guests from all ove the world - USA, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Asia. . . So, be welcome and enjoy extraordinary time in small Bulgaria that proposes great opportunities! Overview of your Ruse tour
The tour includes two symbolic places of faith - both in the rocks, both unique. One is the Ivanovo Rock Churches - one of totally 9 UNESCO sites in Bulgaria, with preserved original frescoes from the 13th and 14th century. The other one is the only functioning today rock monastery in Bulgaria, the Basarbovo monastery, with active monk's life and regular services. The stories and legends around both sites are fascinating and would be revealed and uncovered to the guests during the tour. Your Ruse tour itinerary
We are starting the tour from the town of Ruse. - Going first to the Ivanovo rock churches, the distance is about 25 km, which means could be covered for a maximum of 45 minutes driving. Arriving at the the site, there is small cafe and possibility for refreshment. Then the climbing up to the rock church starts - for the sake of comfort and variety of impressions we are going up one way, having some time into the church and then going down another way. If the guests like, we can have some time at the cafe at the bottom for souvenirs and refreshment again. - The ride form Ivanovo to Basarbovo covers about 15 km and some 20 minutes. We can spend about an hour in the monastery's courtyard, we'll climb up to the original rockmonastery's church and then few steps away to the father Hrisant's tomb. There is also option for refreshment and souvenirs. Then we are starting back to the town of Ruse, some 10 km and 10 min away. Then hugging, kissing and wishing all the best. . . :)
