The shortest characteristics of it is that one can find the greatest variety on a very small territory - so, everything here, in Bulgaria, is at hand. Within just several hours one can visit mountains, sea coast, enjoy historical, cultural, archeological sites, visit churches and monasteries, wineries, rose fields, Thracian tombs. 9 UNESCO sites are situated within a territory equal to just one American state. So, there is great choice. Combined with my love for guiding, gusets and Bulgaria, one needs only desire to enjoy wonderful time in somewhat not much known place! I have educational background, too - English language school, bachelor's degree in Economics and master in Cultural Historical Heritage and Guiding. But what shaped me as professional is my experience with guests from all ove the world - USA, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Asia. . . So, be welcome and enjoy extraordinary time in small Bulgaria that proposes great opportunities! From the Danube to the Royal capital of Bulgaria
Overview of your Ruse tour
The tour will take you from the Danube and the northern Bulgarian border to just the middle of the country - the former capital city, Veliko Tarnovo - a place among the three most visited by Bulgarians, too. The longest distance covered is some 100 km, which takes about 1 hour 45 minutes. We are spending the first half of the day in Veliko Tarnovo, visiting the remains of the very heart of the ancient kingdom of Bulgaria. Then we roam the beautiful craft street - a copper smith, weaving on a loom, iconography, etc. . The second half of the day we are moving some 10 km away to spend a pleasant afternoon in the village of Arbanasi, announced architectural reserve. We have time there for lunch, for visiting the oldest church around from the 1500s, an ethnographic house, to have afternoon coffee and refreshment, and to start back to the city of Ruse. And believe me, it is worth; more, that I am one of the most experienced with the tour enjoying taking guests there very often during the active season.
Your Ruse tour itinerary
- Starting from the town of Ruse, stop en route at a gas station for refreshment. - Arriving in Tarnovo in about 2 hours from the start. - Time to climb up and go down the historical Tsarevets hill with remaining from the middle ages and restored the main church of the kingdom on top. - Walking or driving to the craft street - max 10 min walking or 1 minute by car. - About an hour on the craft street. - 15 minutes drive to the village of Arbanasi. - One hour- one hour and a half for lunch. - Few minutes walk to the oldest church around, about 20-30 minutes visit there; - 5 minutes walk to the ethnographic house. - About 20-30 minutes walk around the house with beautiful courtyard. - About 30 min for eventually coffee and refreshing. - About 4, 30 p. m. going back to Ruse. Arriving in Ruse about 6 p. m. Of course, the given itinerary is flexible, so some of the things might be skipped and others added - especially if somebody sees anything much desired to be reviewed or visited.
