Sue was great. She was quick in communicating prior to our visit and meeting us at the cruise ship dock. She took us to a variety of location that gave us a good sense of the culture and life style. We sampled the local food at a couple of stops along the way. It was a family tour since her husband was our driver. You won't be disappointed using Sue as you tour guide.

As a second tour day for our two day visit to Hue, we told Sue to get us out of the city. We had quite the day! We were honored to go to her house, where her extended family operates a banh mi street food bakery and retail sales; we made our own and met family members. Then to a streetfront place for dessert. Carl, thank you so much, that day was such a special one for me too. I loved getting to share a more local side of Hue with you, from making banh mi with my family to being out on the lagoon and ending the day with dinner there, even if the sunset hid behind the clouds. It really felt like spending the day with friends from out of town.

For our first trip to Hue, Sue (Phuong / Uyen) recommended Hotel Continental: a SUBERP 5-star experience at reasonable rates. Sue was our guide for two wonderful days. Sue’s English is good (she also teaches English). The city tour took us to the listed highlights, including boat ride on Perfume River, learn to make incense, and Tu Duc Mausoleum (quiet garden/pond). ...
