I feel very proud and grateful to call this paradise "home", the chosen scenary to raise my child. I have studied English for many years; in fact my first job was as an English teacher. I'm graduated in Primary School Teaching. I taught in many public schools from the area. Also have a superior degree in Tourism at the Universidad de la República. Sociology, Philosophy and Anthropology as well as Natural Sciences helped me share an integrative perspective from this territory. I have researched and taught about the field of Sustainable Coastal Touristic Development and coursed some postgrade subjects about Integrated Coastal Management at the University and Coastal Geography. I have directed environmental education programmes to conserve wetlands and the few coastal natural ecosystems that still remains in Punta del Este and participated in congresses, radio, TV journals and given workshops and conferences for a wide public and in many countries. On the other hand, currently my main focus is on teaching Pilates and Yoga at the most important wellness centers of Punta. A few years ago I got my Integrative Nutrition Coach degree so I also assist people on ther path to a healthier and happier life. I love to travel, active and healthy lifestyle as much as surfing and stand up paddling. Although it is true that Punta is very glamorous, sophisticated, luxurious and stylish I would love to share with you the amazing and complex history and geography behind this touristic town. Mariana is a phenomenal guide! She is extremely knowledgeable about the history, geology, and culture of Uruguay — especially Punta del Este and the neighboring towns. She showed us all the highlights of the area, and the time passed so quickly. I highly recommend Mariana to anyone looking for an insightful, friendly, and engaging guide.
Marianna and her driver, Stephanie, were extremely knowledgeable and convivial. They gave us a complete tour of Punta del Este including the MACA art museum which is not to be missed. I would highly recommend this tour.
On a sunny summer day our guide, Mariana, presented to us Ponte del Este, the little gem of Uruguay, in all its natural beauty and unexpected riches. The myriads of beaches, lots of new developments, the friendliness of community had a strong impression on us.
