My name is Ricardo, and I have been a tour guide in Paraty since 2019. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and a specialization in Environmental Management and Sustainability. I’m 40 years old, and my greatest passion is travel. I’m fascinated by meeting new people and discovering different cultures and languages. I have worked in the tourism industry for more than 20 years across different areas, including hotels, travel agencies, e-commerce, and cruise ships. I have traveled to more than 50 countries, and for me, traveling is like changing the clothes of our soul. I once heard that when you do what you love, you’ll never have to work again. For me, this is true. That is what I love most about being a tour guide: it feels amazing and brings me great joy. The combination of sea and mountains is what fascinates me most about Paraty. Every day, when I see the beauty of this city and its remarkably well-preserved flora and fauna, I feel like I have found my place in the world.
