A Walking tour in the UNESCO old quarter, and a boat trip in the Hoi An Channel

Hoi An (meaning peaceful city) has been through a few centuries of history but still remains as in the very first day of its being born. Its two main historical land marks are the occupying of the Japanese and Chinese, and the Western countries such as the Dutch and Spanish during the 16th and 17th centuries. Then it was known to the French and Spanish as Faifo, a major international port city.

This is the chance to experience, and enjoy yourself in a live and peaceful riverside ancient town. Welcome, and let me take care of you.

The starting time of this tour is flexible, so please feel free to contact me to arrange your ideal time.

Itinerary

I and driver will come to your accommodation to pick you up, or I just walk with you if your stay is very close to the old quarter of Hoi An ancient town.

After getting the entrance tickets, you will enjoy a walking tour around this enchanting port town and visit its numerous places of interest: the 400 year old Japanese bridge, a 300 year old Chinese temple, a 200 years old former merchants house, the local fish market and more. Around the town you can see numerous art galleries and tailor shops, get some made-to-order clothes if you like.

After a long walk, you may stop to try a cup of coffee in a local restaurant, or you will have a chance to ride a 'Xich Lo' or 'pedicab' over the other side of the Hoi An River where you can take in a panoramic view of Hoi An town.

Get the boat trip on Hoi An channel or Thu Bon river to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere through the tiny lanes of Hoi An countryside, passing the corn, sweet potato fields and beautiful local fruit gardens.

Tour ends in town.
