Eric has been an absolutely wonderful tour guide. We booked two tours with him, one in Hoi An and one in Da Nang. In Hoi An, he guided us through the Old Town on New Year’s Eve, explained lantern traditions during a boat ride, and took us through rice fields and a coconut village, where we rode traditional round fishing boats. We visited the vegetable village, rode water buffalo, and enjoyed incredible food. In Da Nang, we visited Ba Na Hills and explored the French Village. During our trip, we celebrated our wedding anniversary and a birthday, and Eric went above and beyond by reserving dinner at Madam Lân and suggesting evening activities along the My Khe River: the night market and the Fire and Water Show at Dragon Bridge. Eric’s positive energy, storytelling, laughter, and passion for Vietnamese culture made the experience truly special. Vietnam stole our hearts, thanks to Eric!

An avalanche of sensory stimulation, Hoi An can be overwhelming, but our expert guide Eric led us patiently and kindly around the highlights of his home town. Every other shop is a tailor or leather maker; allow a couple of days if you want something made. After dark, the tourist throng can be a little overwhelming, but you can enjoy a nice meal from a roof top restaurant (we went to Morning Glory on Eric’s recommendation, twice!), whilst the hustle and bustle goes on below.

Eric was truly an outstanding tour guide!! Since he is a local to Hoi an , he was very knowledgeable about the area and he added many many interesting stories. He spoke excellent English and was very easy to understand and communicate with! He was fun to be around with just a great personality! I highly recommend him to anyone…truly outstanding!!!! He was also very flexible as our plans changed several times and he happily rearranged the schedule…and one last point to add was that we literally got caught in a typhoon (with tremendous rain) and he still managed to make sure we had fun and made it truly a memorable experience for us! bart puett
