Hello my name is Brad and welcome to the great state of Colorado. Colorado is truly a hidden treasure of mountain beauty, rolling meadows with all kinds of animal life such as elk, deep, mousse, and black bear, not to mention the 300 species of birds that populate our parks. Within an hour or two of Denver there are natural hot springs, mountain lakes, and panoramic views of mountain ranges. Of course you don't even have to go that far for great site seeing, hiking, biking or just walking around as the foothills are only 20 minutes from Denver. Although I am from Peoria Illinois I have lived in Colorado for over 29 years, therefore I am very close to being a native Coloradan. We locals call that being a "Semi-Native!" As a child I spent 10 years in Europe and I have lived in Mexico as an adult. This experience has given me a passion for traveling as well as a desire to learn about different cultures. For these reasons I believe that I am an excellent tour guide for Denver and the rest of Colorado. Gold fever may have established Denver and brought many people out west, but today people come as it has over 300 days of sunshine, mountain biking, snow skiing and some of the best hiking in the world. The town is rich in the history of cowboys and Indians, as well as old mining towns where gold and silver were discovered. I will bring both these old cowboy stories and new ones to life. Being a guide for the Denver Colorado area, my foremost desire is to give the customer an idea of how the Old West town of Denver was formed and show the contrast in the new Denver of today. The history combined with the natural beauty of the mountains will help you fall in love with Denver and the surrounding mountains as I did many years ago. I am extremely flexible and if you need to tweak a tour I have the ability to customize my tours. In addition if you have more than five people I can get access to a larger vehicle and thus I could handle a much larger group. Feel free to message me through ToursByLocals for any customization of a tour. It is truly a privilege to live in Colorado and work as a tour guide. I hope to see you in Colorado soon! My vehicule is a SUV that is commercially insured and licenced. PUC certification is required to drive paying passengers in the state. All commercial vehicules that carry paid passagers are required to have commercial insurance in Colorado. I have the requiered PUV certification along with the specialized commercial insurance. IGA certifed as: - Tour Guide - Tour Manager - I have 10 years as a professional tour guide in the Colorado area. - CPR and First Aid certified. I do not have any restrictions.

Let's explore Denver where gold was first found at the scenic area of Confluence Park. Imagine, this area was once not too long ago full of cowboys and Native Indians, and where they first set up their homes and tepees. Venture into the historic LoDo where General Larimer first established Denver, but now this area is a block of swanky restaurants and boutiques like the artsy RiNo area. Leaving Denver we ascend to over 6, 400 feet and visit The Red Rocks Park Amphitheater. There are miles of hiking trails intertwined with cinnameron-hued sandstone cliffs offer incredible views of downtown Denver. I have been to several concerts there and I understand why Rolling Stones has said it was the best music venture anywhere. I attended a wonderful Gypsy Kings Concert there several years ago. Onward, we will go to the top of Lookout Mountain and visit the gravesite of Buffalo Bill. After you hear some amazing stories about his life and his accomplishments, we descend to the quaint cowboy town of Golden.
Each tour may be slightly different. The tour will feature many of the following areas but will not be limited to them: Meet at your downtown Denver hotel. Go to the RiNo art district to see the paintings. Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Red Rocks. 30 minutes to 45 - exploring the Amphitheater and the Visitor Center. Drive up through Bear Creek to Evergreen or go from Morrison straight up I70 and then onto Buffalo Bills Gravesite. If time permits lunch may be in Golden or Morrison.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
Transportation is in a luxury 2022 Kia Telluride with 3 rows of leather seats, capitan chairs, sunroof and a moonroof and a sound system for my voice that can play through all 9 speakers so all passengers can hear me.
