Why do you travel? To learn, to see, and to experience? Come join me on my travels through the West Bank of Palestine. I love to wander, connect with people, and learn about a place from the inside. So that's how I design my tours. When I travel with you, you will see what is it like to live in Palestine - now and in the past. We will visit places that are not on a tourist map… places that define the rich diversity of Palestine. On one of my specialised journeys, my guests drink coffee in family homes, explore ancient ruins, ride motorbikes across the West Bank, wander through gnarled olive orchards, meet dynamic community leaders, or walk through the streets of city centers and refugee camps. Or I can help you find your own adventure. Come see Palestine from the inside. Motorcycle/Hiking/trekking license Driving License

Overview of your Ramallah tour

Ramallah is the cultural, commercial and governmental hub of the Palestinian Territories, alive with liberalism and intellectualism. It is a loud, vibrant city from its historic market to its chaotic bus station and its hip downtown to its towering, glamorous hotels. Almost operating within its own bubble, Ramallah is an eclectic hub of activity and continues to evolve with each day. Many of its residents are refugee families from Jerusalem and elsewhere in Palestine, who were forced to seek new lives in Ramallah and in doing so made it the Palestinian Authority's de facto capital. Come with a local guide like me in order to discover Ramallah city's modern and vibrant life, and around the refugee camps, as well the paradoxical reality of walls, fences, checkpoints and Jewish settlements. Join me on this unique journey!

This tour is hard to rate because we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Your trip is incomplete, if you have not visited Ramallah. We felt safe throughout the tour and the people were welcoming and friendly. Bassam has made a film called "The Last One Picked" (on You Tube) that reviews the life of an American living in Ramallah for 30 years. It is worth viewing, even if you can't take the tour. Great guide! Great place to visit! View changing! Tip - take the 218 bus from Jerusalem - not a taxi.

My son and I had a fantastic day with Bassam. Despite a very rainy day, we felt like we really got a sense of the city and the current geopolitical situation. Bassam was incredibly knowledgeable, balanced, and funny, and knows the city and its history inside and out. I wish we had more than a day with him! We will be back...there's still Jericho and Hebron and so much else left to explore. Can't imagine a better tour guide. Hire him - you won't regret it.

Bassam was an excellent guide, he went above and beyond what we expected of him. We opted for a walking tour of Ramallah where he tailored the trip to our needs and interests, was flexible with start and end times and made us feel comfortable and relaxed during the tour. Highlights include: political and geographic info, British mandate era house tour, Yasser Arafat mausoleum and museum, old city tour, refugee camp tour by refugee family. All 6 of us had an fantastic and insightful day. Highly recommended

Bassam provided an excellent Geo-Political tour of Ramallah. Bassam was flexible with timing and incredibly knowledgeable about Palestine. We really enjoyed meeting the locals and hearing about their everyday life. Bassam brought us to some hidden gems in the city and we feel like we got the most out of our time in Ramallah by hiring him.

Bassam went above and beyond to make this both educational and enjoyable. Considering the efforts he had to go to, with checkpoints and travel restrictions, to meet us at our hotel and to make sure we got back to our hotel safely at the end of the tour, I can't praise him enough. He did an excellent job of explaining the politics of the region and showing us the situation on the ground. Anyone interested in the political realities of Israel/Palestine, I highly recommend this tour.
