Hello! I'm Michael, and I was born and raised in the stunning landscapes of Southern Utah. Growing up near Zion National Park, I developed a deep respect for the natural world and a love for the outdoors. When I'm not guiding, you'll find me hiking, photographing unique landscapes, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or diving into a great science or historical fiction novel. I'm also currently learning Spanish, which has been a rewarding challenge. My hobbies and lifestyle are closely tied to my commitment to preserving the beauty and ecological richness of our National Parks for future generations. Becoming a guide in 2019 felt like discovering my calling. I’m fortunate to share the incredible wonders of National Parks with people from all over the world, helping them experience these places as deeply as I have. Each tour is an opportunity for me to inspire curiosity and convey the unique geological, ecological, and cultural histories that make these areas so special. I love seeing the awe on visitors' faces as they connect with the land and learn more about its significance. Southern Utah, with its breathtaking red-rock landscapes, towering cliffs, and iconic canyons, offers an experience like nowhere else. From the dramatic views of Zion’s sandstone cliffs to the surreal, vibrant colors of Bryce Canyon, this region is full of wonders shaped over millions of years. I’m passionate about preserving this landscape and sharing the stories of those who came before us, from the ancient Native American tribes to early explorers. Each element of this region speaks to resilience, adaptation, and the beauty of nature’s raw power—a journey I can’t wait to share with you. Whether you’re after a peaceful nature walk, an exhilarating day hike, or an exploration of local history, I’m here to customize* your tour based on your interests and needs. I look forward to welcoming you on a journey through Southern Utah’s spectacular National Parks. Let’s make your experience truly unforgettable! *Please note that some areas within our National Parks are designated as off-limits to paid guides to help preserve their natural state and protect sensitive ecosystems. I’ll make sure we explore the best accessible spots while respecting these guidelines, ensuring your visit is both enjoyable and environmentally responsible.
