Tahoe Wine Escape

Enjoy a relaxed private wine-tasting escape from South Lake Tahoe without worrying about the mountain drive, parking, or choosing where to go. This 4-hour summer experience is designed for couples or small groups who want a refined, easygoing afternoon of wine, scenery, and conversation. The core route would focus on El Dorado County wine country, one of the best realistic tasting regions near South Lake Tahoe. El Dorado is known for mountain-grown wines, warm summer days, cool nights, and tasting rooms within about an hour of South Lake Tahoe. For the sparkling element, Boeger Winery is the strongest anchor because it offers “Boeger Sparkles” and is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. Starfield Vineyards is also a strong premium option because it is roughly one hour from South Lake Tahoe and open daily from 11 AM to 5 PM.

Starting around 2:00 PM, I will pick you up in South Lake Tahoe and begin with a scenic drive toward El Dorado wine country. Our first planned stop is Boeger Winery in Placerville, a historic local favorite and a strong choice for including sparkling wine. From there, we’ll continue to a second tasting location such as Starfield Vineyards, Sierra Vista Vineyards, or another excellent nearby tasting room selected for availability, atmosphere, and your preferences. - We’ll return comfortably to South Lake Tahoe with no need for anyone in your group to drive. Exact wineries and timing may be adapted for reservations, seasonal hours, traffic, weather, tasting-room availability, and guest preferences.
