Let’s explore together! I became a guide because I’ve always been passionate about the outdoors and sharing its beauty with others. There’s something magical about gliding through the water under a canopy of cypress trees or witnessing the glow of bioluminescence on a quiet night. Being a guide allows me to connect people with nature in a meaningful way—whether it’s through the stillness of a sunrise paddle, the excitement of spotting wildlife, or the awe of floating under the stars. I bring both passion and experience to every tour. I’m a Wilderness First Responder, certified in CPR and AED, ensuring safety is always a priority. I also hold a Kayak Touring Trip Leader certification and am a certified kayak instructor, so whether you’re a beginner or an experienced paddler, I can guide you through a smooth and enjoyable adventure on the water. I love helping guests slow down, unplug, and truly experience the world around them. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful nature escape, a unique adventure, or just a chance to reconnect with yourself and the environment, I’m here to make it special for you. If you have a special request or want a customized experience, I’m happy to tailor the tour to your needs. Whether it’s adjusting the pace, focusing on photography, or creating a private experience for your group, I’ll make sure your time on the water is unforgettable.

Embark on a peaceful yet exhilarating paddle down Florida’s Wekiva River, one of only two National Wild and Scenic Rivers in the state. As your guide, I bring this pristine waterway to life, sharing my deep connection to its beauty, history, and wildlife. This crystal-clear, spring-fed river winds through untouched wilderness, offering effortless downstream paddling—no fighting against the current! Glide past lush riverbanks draped in Spanish moss, spot orchids blooming along the shoreline, and keep an eye out for manatees, otters, alligators, and even the elusive black bear. Birds fill the skies as I share the stories of this incredible ecosystem. Midway, we’ll pause for a refreshing swim in the cool spring waters and enjoy a riverside snack before continuing our journey. This isn’t just a kayak tour—it’s an invitation to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the Wekiva River through my eyes.
📍 We'll meet at our launch site at Katie's Landing—look for me near the kayak launch area. Parking is covered! 🛶 Effortless Paddle: Drift downstream with the gentle current—no upstream paddling! 🌿 Scenic Beauty: Navigate through ancient cypress groves draped in Spanish moss, passing wildflowers like orchids, bromeliads, and spiderworts. 🦦 Wildlife Encounters: Spot manatees, alligators, otters, turtles, and deer. If lucky, glimpse a black bear or bobcat! Overhead, watch for eagles, osprey, limpkins, and woodpeckers. 🔍 Guided Exploration: Learn about the river’s ecosystem, history, and the surrounding Seminole State Forest & Wekiwa Springs State Park. 💦 Midway Refresh: Pause for a relaxing swim in clear spring waters and enjoy a light riverside lunch. 🚐 Tour End & Shuttle Back: At the journey’s end, hop on a convenient shuttle back to your car for a stress-free finish. As with every ToursByLocals tour, this tour is of course customizable. Please contact me to discuss this.
