I have lived in Minnesota for over 4O years, I chose to move to Minneapolis decades ago, because of our great winters and my love of snow. Yes, call me crazy, but I quickly fell in love with this beautiful area. After raising three kids and working as a rehabilitation psychologist, I retired from my clinical work in 2023. I wanted to do something fun, with a purpose, and becoming a tour guide was a natural transition for me. The Twin Cities is a very special place, and I will share with you the personal gems, big and small, that I have found in my 40+ years of living here. I’ll tailor your tour towards your interests…. history, architecture, parks, sports venues, food, beer or whatever you want to experience. The Twins Cities is a magnificent a place to live, with a fascinating history dating back to the early 1800's. But especially unique is our access to the beautiful parks along rivers and lakes...there are 22 lakes just in the city boundaries of Minneapolis. Join me on a tour of our lovely city and scratch below the surface to discover all the wonders this area has to offer. I’m passionate about giving back to the community, and a portion of my tour proceeds supports a local nonprofit organization that helps under-resourced children build self-esteem and healthy bodies through outdoor activities, exercise, and community involvement. Through Tours by Locals, I offer three ways to travel – walking, biking or by car– so choose your mode, and let’s get going!
